I am 1 person with a passion. A passion for many things! I am a collector. Not just of 1 thing , but of many. A collector of stories, of things forgotten, of trinkets, stones or rocks, of TREASURE. What might not be something to one person can be for someone else. I love turning those "treasures" into something new, a treasure for someone else. My story? Well, here is a short version... On October 11, 2007 I made a decision to change my life. A decision that made me a better person, better mom, grandma, friend, and wife. With that decision came a LOT of change, desire and some time. So with the ideas I already had stored away in my mind, the craftiness and art that had been in my moms side of the family for generations, I started putting those ideas to work. With scrap wood, shells, beads and trinkets all collected over time. I would then take whatever I made and give as gifts. Not only on Holidays, but anytime I felt it was for someone who needed it, or just because. As my desire for beautiful stones and rocks grew I knew I had to do something with those as well. So I would decorate my flower beds with large quartz rocks from the yard, the woods and really, from anywhere(which I was teased for by family lol). But as my “collection” grew, so did my desire to do more. So when my son gave me a rock tumbler on Mothers day, I was very excited! Because now I knew what I wanted to do next. After a couple of failed tumbles I got some absolutely amazing results! And that is when my wire wrapping began. I collected all the unused wire I could find, stripped it, wrapped my first stone, and with great pride in what I had just accomplished, showed it to friends and family. The feedback I received was encouraging, positive, and quite honestly, exciting. After that I did a couple more, as well as some sun catchers. And now, through the encouragement and suggestions of others, I have decided to start selling what I am having so much fun making. In doing so I hope that I can bring joy to the one receiving each piece that I have made, as it has brought joy to me.Now, that does not mean I know the name of every stone or rock. However I can tell you where it came from and who brought out its natural beauty. That would be me ;) So thank you!
